TempSure Q & A

What is TempSure?

TempSure is an innovative radiofrequency skin tightening treatment that reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The laser experts at CynoSure® designed the TempSure equipment to provide a safe, non-invasive, and painless treatment to help you look younger.

Dr. Latter uses TempSure to help you look your best. The procedure helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and loose, crepey skin on your face and neck. As you age, your body’s production of collagen and elastin — the fibers that keep your skin plump and elastic — declines, which affects the appearance of your skin.

How does TempSure work?

Dr. Latter uses the TempSure device to deliver a consistent stream of radiofrequency energy to your skin. As the radiofrequency waves penetrate your skin, they convert to heat and stimulate your body’s natural ability to repair damaged cells as well as grow new ones.

Over the several weeks following your treatment, your body produces new collagen fibers, which plump your skin from within, raising wrinkles and tightening loose skin on your cheeks or chin, or around your eyes.

You may notice an improvement in the appearance of your skin after just one TempSure appointment. However, Dr. Latter may suggest a series of treatments for optimal results.

What should I expect during a TempSure treatment?

In most cases, Dr. Latter can provide TempSure treatments for your full face within 45 minutes. You relax in a treatment chair and wear protective goggles while Dr. Latter or another licensed member of his team uses the handheld TempSure applicator to direct the radiofrequency waves at your skin. You may notice a warming sensation during the procedure, but it shouldn’t be painful.

How should I take care of my skin after a TempSure treatment?

TempSure is non-invasive, and while your skin may be a little pink after your appointment, your skin tone returns to normal quickly.

You should always take care to limit your sun exposure and wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen to reduce your risk of sun damage — one of the leading causes of premature skin aging. However, unlike many other skin tightening treatments, you don’t have to worry about discoloration or other unwanted side effects with TempSure.
